Health & Safety
We cover all forms of health & safety work, including landlord compliance, portable appliance testing, and smoke alarm systems.

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
An EICR is a bit like an MOT for home electrics. We undertake a formal inspection of a property’s fixed electrical systems to check for safety and compliance with current regulations. This involves examining wiring, sockets, switches and fuse boards for tell-tale signs like cracks, heat and discolouration. If we find any problems, we’ll advise on the best way to fix them.
Landlords are required by law to carry out EICR tests on their properties every five years, but it is also advisable for home owners and house-buyers to have an EICR test for peace of mind and insurance purposes.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
A Portable Appliance Test checks the safety of any pieces of electrical equipment that you plug in, such as toasters, computers, power tools and fridges. Portable appliance testing is a great way for business to demonstrate to their insurers that they are maintaining their electrical equipment to a good standard, in the event of any claims. You may also wish to have the appliances in your home tested to make sure they are safe and not at risk of causing a fire.
We use visual inspections and specialist equipment to test the insulation and earthing of each appliance. As certified PAT testers, our team can detect faults, fix them or recommend a replacement.
Smoke Alarms
We are approved installers of Aico equipment, the European leader in fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems. Aico multi-sensor alarms contain both optical and heat sensors, enabling a fast and effective response to fast flaming and slow smouldering fires.
